Lucy Harris BSc., DSFH, HPD
With a science degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia, I also hold a Diploma of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) and Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma (HPD) from The Clifton Practice in Bristol, an accredited centre of excellence in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. I am also a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists (AfSFH).
On a personal level, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Zoology, and then spent a number of years trying to forge a career with animals. Animals are a passion for me, and I truly believe in their healing power. Before long I realised that while I have an immense love for animals, helping people was where my heart lay. I discovered Solution Focused Hypnotherapy after having made the mammoth (and somewhat stressful!) move from Australia to the UK, and was so overwhelmed by it's power and potential I was compelled to study it to help others in the way it has helped me.
I like to keep myself busy with lots of hobbies when I'm not working. If you don't find me in the kitchen whipping up batches of homemade jams and chutneys using local hedgerow fruits, I'll be out with my camera. All of the pictures you see on this site are my own. I am very much a novice - with a fancy camera with buttons I don't understand, but I get real joy in seeing and capturing the beauty in the world around us.
I also love yoga, practicing Ashtanga yoga as many times a week as I can!
I have always been a 'glass half full' kind of person, and really do believe in the power of our minds. I feel blessed to have found the extraordinary power of solution focused hypnotherapy, and to be able to share it. Life experiences, both wonderful and trying, have helped enhance my insightfulness, and I feel my sensitivity and intuition ensure my ability to listen, understand and relate.
I would love to be able to share the wonderful positivity that I have discovered with hypnotherapy and would be delighted to talk further about it if you have any questions or anything you would like to discuss.
We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery.
Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.
